Dr. Stephen Grennan, renowned expert on Occupational Biomechanics
& Injury Reduction Programs, recognized the importance
and urgency of solving this problem and created the
Back At Work Program™ based on his personal
experience treating thousands of patients in the industrial
sector. What makes his approach uniquely effective is that
it:
Focuses on individuals, not job titles
Identifies the specific causes of injury at the job
task level
Creates an individually customized, proactive program
for preventing MSDs at the job task level
Within a few months, all of Dr. Grennan's clients that
had implemented the program saw a
decline in the incidence and severity of MSDs and a reduction
in injury-related costs of 40% to 90%. In 2001, Dr.
Grennan, convinced of the benefits of the program, wanted
to offer the Back At Work Program™
to a larger client base. In just a few months, the New Jersey-based
company was producing impressive results for some of America's
largest companies, including:
Ryder Integrated Logistics, H.J. Heinz
Corp., the U.S. Government - Department of the Interior,
The Clark Construction Group, Public Service Electric &
Gas (PSE&G) and many others.
In 2002, the Back At Work Program™
was recognized by Occupational Safety & Health Administration
(OSHA) and the Associated General Contractors of America
(AGC) as a highly effective method of reducing MSD-related
injuries.

Expert on Occupational Biomechanics & Injury Reduction
Programs
Dr. Stephen Grennan is the founder and Occupational Biomechanics
Director of Back At Work. Dr. Grennan began his career as
a Chiropractor, with a degree in orthopedic chiropractic, in 1981 and has distinguished himself in this
field. Recognizing that there was a need for injury prevention,
not just treatment, Dr. Grennan created the Back At Work program
several years ago, teaching the proper techniques for performing
specific job-related tasks to clients including Waste Management,
Roadway, Ryder and Pepsi. Due to the overwhelming reductions
in work-related injuries, (and therefore injury-related expense),
dramatically increased the demand for his services. To meet
this demand, Dr. Grennan founded Back At Work. Dr. Grennan
holds a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Sherman College
of Chiropractic. Dr. Grennan is a frequent speaker on the
topic of occupational biomechanics.
